Who we are

Fettle's owner, named on our business details page, is the data controller for the personal information described here. Contact us at [email protected].

What we collect and why

Order details: your name, delivery address, email address, phone number if you give one, and what you ordered. We use these to take payment, deliver your order and handle returns. The lawful basis is performing our contract with you.
Payment details: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Newsletter: your email address, only if you sign up. The lawful basis is your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Messages: anything you send through the contact form or by email, so we can reply.

Who we share it with

Net1on1 Wholesale Ltd, our UK supplier, and Monta Fulfilment, the warehouse that packs and posts orders for them. They receive your name, delivery address, email address, phone number and the items ordered, and use them only to send your order.
The courier they use (Evri, Royal Mail, DPD or DHL), who receives your name, address and contact details to deliver the parcel.
Stripe, who process your payment.
Cloudflare, who host this website and store contact form messages and newsletter sign-ups.

We never sell your information and never share it for marketing.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years to meet UK tax rules. Newsletter details are deleted when you unsubscribe. Contact messages are deleted after 12 months.

Cookies and storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your basket is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it survives a page refresh; this is strictly necessary for the shop to work. Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout page to prevent fraud.

Visitor statistics

To see which pages are useful and fix what isn't, we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, doesn't store anything on your device and doesn't build a profile of you. We only see totals, such as how many people read a guide. Cloudflare processes this for us and doesn't use it for its own purposes. You can switch it off for this browser at any time:

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
